Prior to joining UAMS, he was an orthopaedic trauma surgeon at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center and Long Island Orthopaedic and Spine Specialists. He has received several honors and awards throughout his medical career including the Gold Humanism Award and Chief Resident teaching award. He has authored several publications and textbook chapters relating to clinical and basic science aspects of orthopaedic injuries.
